YouTube is expanding upon its face-blurring feature that it first introduced in 2012, allowing YouTubers to easily blur moving objects.
After uploading a video, you can access the new feature through the new Custom Blurring tool under Blurring Effects. You can draw a blurred box over anything you want, and then YouTube detects where that object moves through the video, adjusting the blur accordingly.
Questions for discussion:
1. Why is this an important feature?
2. What kind of insights would Youtube have had to conclude in order to integrate this application?
