As I add more cordless, smart and rechargeable stuff to my life, I’ve run more into a mundane but real issue: I still have too many cords to deal with when it’s time to charge them. And there’s no good solution.

1) This is similar to the “last mile” problem with high-speed internet. What is the “last mile” problem?
2) Why, in 2017, are we STILL having problems with wires and cords for technology? Why isn’t there a global standard for wires and cords like there is for, say, HTTP or HTML?
