Aerodrums uses real-time motion-tracking technology to accurately translate air drumming into sound. The inventors say it allows professional and amateur drummers alike to keep all the finesse and control of a real drum kit, but one that can be carried in a small bag and does not annoy the neighbours. Matthew Stock reports.
Questions for discussion:
1. Do you play an instrument? Would this technology encourage you to play the drums – without having to invest in a physical set?
2. Do you feel like this method might be difficult to pick up, unless you were already familiar with playing the drums, or is this a great idea for beginners?
