A unique new program has been developed that aims to allow Twitter users to continue tweeting long after they’re dead. Created by British ad agency Lean Mean Fighting Machine, LivesOn works by setting up a second Twitter account someone and then studying their tweets, favourites, retweets, and writing style. Eventually—as in by the time that person dies—the LivesOn account will be able to accurately replicate what the now dead user would have been tweeting had they kept on living. Read Rest of Story.
Questions for discussion:
1. Who decides whether a LivesOn account goes public?
2. What assumption is being made about the Twitter platform itself?
